Senior administration officials pressed executives from the nation’s largest banks Tuesday to speed help to distressed borrowers after a frustrating start to the government’s foreclosure-prevention effort and set a goal of more than doubling the number of homeowners receiving aid by November.

The loan modification program is great, but unfortunately not enough homeowners are taking advantage of it. One reason may be that loan servicers are not being given enough incentive (how greedy of them). Mortgage loan modification can really help you turn your financial life around if you stick with the new loan payments.
